I have only been able to drink a full 8-8oz servings of water once in my life. I forced myself and had to constantly think about it. I usually am good to drink 2 or 3 8oz glasses. I am worried about the possability of dehydration and it causing contractions. Are you all seriously drinking 8 glasses a day? I have heard so many mixed reviews on whether or not we really need that much water. I'm going to talk to the dr. at my next appointment. Just trying to get thoughts from others. Thanks!
Re: Water intake...how much are you really drinking?
I have low fluid and have to drink a lot in order to keep it up.
I drink probably close to 80 ounces a day. It is really no fun and I am in the bathroom all day long.
I drink so much but I crave it!
I have a 32 oz bottle and I fill it at least 2x per day.
not enough.
probably about 32 oz a day, which is what, half of what we're supposed to have?
An 8 oz glass is tiny- are you sure that's all you are drinking? What about adding fresh lemon or lime to it. I do that sometimes to change it up. I also make mine ice ice cold!!

Do you REALLY want to know how much water I drink? ?
Okay, here goes.
At LEAST 128 ounces (four liters). ?And that's just plain water, not including 8 oz. juice in the morning, a cup of decaf at work, and the occasional Sprite in the evening.
(Water helps keep my irritable ute from getting irritable, so my doctor said literally to drink as much water as I'm humanly capable of drinking.)
You know what's crazy? ?My pee is still never totally clear, so I know my body needs all of what I'm taking in.?
I drink SO much every day, but I always have (I was tested for diabetes as a teen because I was always so thirsty).
I'm insane with my liquids!
I drink a lot...at least what I'm supposed to each day, if not more. But it doesn't all come in water form. Try drinking something else, and liquid that is decaf. It all counts-juice, Crystal Light, decaf iced tea, milk -- all of it keeps you hydrated.
Good luck! I wouldn't worry about it too much though.....drink what you physically can -- don't torture yourself!
I have a sports bottle that fill 32 oz. so i know for sure I finish one of those, I refill it twice a day but sometimes I don't finish the second refill. I try though.
My Blog
I try to abide by the 64 oz rule everyday, but it can be tough some times. You can certainly tell the diffference when you do not hydrate enough though, that's when I get a lot of BH contractions and leg cramps at night. So, I try to make an effort and usually can tell that I am ok by the lack of contractions throughout the day.
Like someone else said, you can do it with juices, non-caffinated drinks, gatorade, milk...whatever makes you happy!
i take a 32 oz bottle to work with me everyday & make sure i finish it before i leave. i refill it 2 or 3 times after work. so around 64oz or 96oz.
thats not including the juice, milk, soda
try adding lemon and lots of ice & see if that helps you drink more. or try drinking that flavored vitamin water.
Ditto- I bought one of these early in my pregnancy and keep it at my desk. I also drink an additional bottle of water at home in the evening, so that's an additional 24 oz.
So altogether, probably 110 oz.
