From the main page, when I click on the Pregnant after 35 board, I always get TTC after 35. I always see all of these new posts and get so excited...then I remember they have the link wrong.

This board is so quiet most of the time. Do we just get less chatty as we get older? Apparently I don't.

Re: You know what drives me batty?
I'm not less chatty! It can be you and me, chatting away, OK?
Maybe we mature ladies are busier at work than the young-un's? I notice that there are more posts at night on this board--likely after work. Though I'm now posting while I'm AT work. I'm bad!

Hi Robyn! I am just sitting here thinking about crawling back in bed (I've been saying this for thirty minutes). Work is really slow right now (I'm working from home today) and I just need a break. However, I am so edgy right now- waiting for the doc's office to call- that I can't relax!
Thanks for your post in response to my NT results- you all made me feel much better. How are you feeling?
You're welcome, Jennifer (re: NT thread). I had really good numbers but I was terribly worried I wouldn't. I skipped the amnio but I agonized over the decision. I hope your doctor calls you back soon.
I'm feeling mostly OK. Last night I felt weird--out of breath and my heart was racing. My husband seems to think I'm having panic attacks, but I'm not so sure. If it happens again, I'll call my OB. Otherwise I'll just tell her at my next visit, which is next Monday.
I just wish I could sleep through the night. Even with cutting back on my water intake after 6 PM, I wake up at least once per night to pee. I'm so tired and would love to just stay home for a week to nap. But I think the next time I'll have a good night's sleep is after Baby is born and when Baby sleeps through the night--whenever that may be.

Butting in from TTC>35 again... I hate to say it, but most women are done having kids by 35, so there aren't that many of us 'older' ones around (I'm 39), and many of us never make it off the TTC>35 board - I'm just here because I'm dreaming and planning and hoping, and because I wanted to check in and meet all you ladies, since there are fewer of us and our boards are less active than the ones the youngsters post on...
Anyway, I wish all of you ladies a happy and healthy 9 months, and I hope I'm here legitimately soon!
Julia-
You're always welcome
I hope you get a BFP soon
The link thing drives me batty, too.
I don't think we're less chatty, but I think there's less of us.. I also felt a little out of place with all the young'uns on the knot boards when I got married last Nov.

I try to respond to every post I can, I think it's important to have that sense of an active community for us old ladies! J/K
You know, I'm not sure at all that most women are done having kids by 35 these days. With the necessity of 2 income families, and not to mention the opportunities afforded to women today - between education, work, career, travel, etc? I bet it's probably more common than you think...
