I poseted yesterday about a possible placement. A little boy was placed just last week and the foster mom is having issues.
After getting LOTS more information from the current foster mom (FM) and from the child's case worker, we have decided to take the placement that I spoke about.
I can't share a lot of details, but, from what I have been told, and what we can ALL assume, Frank and I think that this is really a sweet kid, who is just looking for some attention.
His situation is interesting to say the least, but as of right now, the case worker does not know if this will be a short term thing, or a long term thing.
So, we will just love him for as long as we have him.
Here are some basic details:
Little boy, just turned three in Feb, sweet as can be (according to FM and caseworker), and is a tiny 3 yr old. His name starts with a J, so, on here, he will be known as "Little J"
It can take up to 10 days to have him in our home. There is a lot of stuff to do before he can be placed with us. I am hoping that he is here sooner than later. The longer he stays there, the harder it will be for him.
I will not be sharing any personal info on him and can not post any pics that will identify him, so only back of the head pics, if I post any at all.
Please keep our family in your thoughts
Re: We are taking a placement...
I hope it all works out well for you and that he finds a more compatible home with you!
Are you all ready for his arrival or do you need to get some additional stuff for him.
How exciting! I wish your familiy and Little J the best of luck in the coming weeks and months! Let us know how the transition goes.
