My Birth Story..Rylee Marie

">had my baby, Rylee Marie on Saturday the 28th. She was 8lbz 5oz and 20 inches long. Started out Friday after I posted about back pain, labor had started. I felt ok all night long, until about 4am. I started to get crampy feeling like I had to go poop, but couldn't go. Around 6 I called my husband who was at work to let him know and we decided I should call L&D to see if I should come in. I wasn't having any contractions at this point, but it was exactly how i labored with Logan. So I ended up going in. Around 7:30 the contractions started and I was to the hospital by 8. I drove myself because my Mom was at our house with Logan and DH was at work, plus it was only 5 blocks! When they first checked me I was 4cm and 90% effaced- so they decided to keep me, even though contractions weren't too close yet (about 7-8 min). By the time the doctor got there to check me I was already 5-6cm. By the time DH got there at 9:30am, I was already a 6-7. I went from 6-7 to 10cm and ready to push in about 30 minutes. I pushed 8 times and she was born...at 11:13am. I was only at the hospital for 3hrs and 13 min and she was born! It went just as fast as my first birth with Logan. I didn't do an epi, thought I would try without it. After they broke my water it would have been hard because contractions were coming at 1-2 min at that point. So I settled for Nubain...which didn't do much but took the edge off. So that is my story! Things are going well. I am still sore and with not nursing, my boobs are in terrible pain!
