Re: Summer moms sleepers with or without feet ?

  • The upstairs of our house can get kind of warm, so I'm registering for both and seeing what we need as we go.

  • I think that I'll be using sleepers with feet mostly, and then transition to sleepers without feet.  Only because I'm thinking it's going to be too hot for the baby to be outside at first and with the air conditioning indoors that might be our best bet

  • I'm late Summer, so for the time the child is inside, the a/c will be on, then it's onto fall.  so i'll probably get mostly with feet, but some without.
  • I am registering for both plus the sleeper gowns.  They make changing middle of the night diapers so much easier and his legs and feet will be covered up in case it is a little cold.
  • No feet...I don't think I have patience to change a diaper at 3am trying to take all those clothes off and put them back on.

  • I'm going w/ both...mostly w/ feet though b/c they look so cute!

  • Sleeper Gowns and Cotton Sleepers with feet....

  • I'm going with both.  It will be really warm outside, but if we run the air conditioning little toes can get cold quickly.
  • Those sleeper gowns are the best!  I always used them with socks though, even for my summer baby, because we use air conditioning.
  • DS was born in june and we used the sleepers with feet.  b/w the air conditioning and the ceiling fan i have going in his room his little toes would get cold.  i like the ones with the snaps as opposed to the zippers that way you can leave the top all snapped up and only unsnap the bottom half for diaper changes.

and IME, those gowns were the biggest PITA. they never stayed down around DS feet -- they would always ride up to his armpits in the middle of the night.  i hated them.

  • If your child needs to be swaddled to sleep, you might not need sleepers at all...just a onesie.  For my Sept. baby, we still had the ac on a lot, so he was in a lightweight footed sleeper (no onesie under) and swaddled.  I don't like foot-less sleepers b/c they tend to ride up on DS's legs...but moreso now that he moves so much.  And gowns are okay, but also annoying because they ride up so much.
  • With my summer baby, I did sleepers with feet as well as nightgowns with socks. I'll do the same with this one
