How did you get your LO to take naps without having to hold them? Dont get me wrong. I love holding my DD and I know I will miss it when I have to go back to work in 5 weeks and once she gets older and doenst want to be held. Thanks for the advice!
What I'm doing is I rock him in his room then only hold him for 5 minutes then put him down in his crib. Longer then that and he thinks he is going to spend all nap in my arms. Start with the morning nap it is the easiest. I also try to put him down drowsy but awake once a day - but that doesn't always happen.
Around 2 months we started putting DD in her crib when she was super drowsy ... she wouldnt sleep as long but it was a start. Now we swaddle her for naps and she sleeps like a champ. She would always wake herself up with her arms. I really thought she would never nap without being in my arms before we swaddled her!?

The only way DS is falling asleep on his own is in the carseat.
