Hummus is made with sesame seeds which is why some people wait bc of nut allergies. our pedi wasnt worried about them so allowed us to give DD small amounts of hummus at 9 mo. At DD's 1 year, our pedi said that bc of no food issues in DD and no family history of food allergies we could give her nuts of all kinds (starting off slow) so hummus is OK. For you, depends on the allergy thing. But if no issues you can def give hummus.
we started at about 10 months - I guess I wasn't real concerned with the tahini - I don't think sesame is a huge allergen, (don't quote me I could be wrong) perhaps I should have been more consciences but I treated it like any other food. Try a little and see how they do.
I got pregnant with PCOS after many years of IF! Thank you Lord!

Jude has eaten hummus for quite some time. I just make a very bland, basic kind with just garbanzo beans, garlic, and olive oil in my food processor. Super easy!

DD was just over 12 months when she first tried it.
EDIT: Trader Joe's has tahini-free hummus, and that's what I usually buy unless I make my own.
