Hey 3rd Tri Girls / New Moms

Okay, I've seen it mentioned here but never paid attention or read what the deal with it was.

For the first time, I think I experienced this "lightning crotch" thing last night.

Brief, shooting pains that seem to originate from my cervix and don't feel so good.

I fumbled through several of my books last night and not one mentioned this issue.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about and tell me what the heck this is?

    I've had a couple instances of what I assumed was lightning crotch, but it was so mild that I didn't bother looking into it further or pay much attention to it.  Sorry.

    Yes, I had this when I was in the 3rd trimester.  I would feel it the most when I was walking and the extra weight and pressure of the baby would give me quick shooting pains in my cervix.  I just chalked it up to my cervix was getting softer and getting ready for labor.  I do not miss that!
