Anyone having issues with tap water?

I've been a big water drinker for a long time and have never been bothered by the taste of smell of tap water until today.  It now smells like vomit to me and I still feel sick from drinking some this morning to take my vitamins (over 2 hours ago now).  The water from the water cooler at work tastes and smells fine to me, but the tap water here smells just like the tap water at home.  Anyone else having this issue?  Looks like I'll be buying bottled for the next 4 months.

Re: Anyone having issues with tap water?

  • Occasionally back when I was suffering from m/s but I'm good now!
  • Loading the player...
  • Do you use a filter? Get a Brita pitcher if you don't have a filter on your sink or in your fridge.
  • Tap water doesn't bother me.  If anything, the smell of my prenatals bothers me more than the smell of the water.

  • ive never liked tap water so this makes sense to me LOL.... we have a filter system on our faucet... I <3 it and the water doesnt smell :)
  • I never drink tap water...the chlorine taste/smell is disgusting and it boggles my mind how anyone can enjoy it, pg or not.

Invest 20 or 30 bucks in a Pur faucet-mounted filter, it makes a big difference. Bottled water is a rip off.

  • The same thing happened to me last week. I thought the water tasted awful all of a sudden but DH said it tasted the same as always. We bought a brita filter and it has helped a lot.
  • Thanks guys!  I'll try a filter.

  • My issue isn't with drinking it. ?Mine is with showering. ?I have rather suddenly developed an alergy to water of all things. ?Every shower, no matter what soap or shampoo I use causes my whole body to turn into a hive-covered, itchy mess.

Thankfully it goes away after an hour or so, but it's really annoying.?

  • That's awful!  I don't remember noticing the smell in the shower (perhaps my shampoo/soap covered it up?) but I did notice it after I got out.  I thought one of the cats had thrown up.

  • Me!!! I can't stand tap water!!! I have been buying bottled water and am now looking at getting Deep Rock delivered. Ice cold and out of a bottle, that's how I like it! :)
