Any Honda CR-V owners out there...I have a carseat question..

I have a 2007 CR-V and we are trying to properly install the Evenflo Triumph carseat.  The manual says when you push on the seat, it can't move more than 1 inch.  We are having a difficult time installing it in the middle.  It's moving 1 1/2 inches.  When installed on the side it doesn't move much.  Is there no way this seat can be installed in the middle?  Isn't the middle the safest?  I'm not sure if I should return it or is this just a problem with this car? Did anyone else have this problem?  Thanks!!

  • We have a 2008 CRV and we have the seat in the middle.  I can't tell you any more than that because we went to the fire station and had them install it.  I would go to the nearest fire station of other inspection site and have them look at it before returning the seat.

  • You know, we have a similar problem.?

The middle seat is supposed to be the safest, but the belt won't stay tight enough for my liking.

I'm tempted to move the seat behind the passenger side (safer than driver's side supposedly) and use the latch system.?

  • i have 2006 and the manual said to install behind passenger that is where the police dept installed --  i rather usethe latch then the seat belts alone
  •  I have a 2008 and we installed our Triumph behind the passenger seat because I wanted to use the LATCH system
