Do you ladies know how likely a dentist is to do an Extraction? My wisdom teeth are killing me, but my dental insurance doesn't cover Orthodontic services until after a year. I can't wait that long! Help!
Since they are all poking out, a dentist is more likely to do them. It's a matter of finding the right one to do it.
My next question is, are you queasy with dental work? If so, it might be easier on you for an oral surgeon to do them, since they put you out. If you are fine with numbing and maybe a little nitrous, then go for it!
I've had all of mine extracted by my regular dentist. One several years ago, one in an emergency (it was hurting the crap out of me!) and then two scheduled. So I never had to go fully under, maybe that's why the dentist could do it.

I have never had to get anything done before, so I guess I would be ok. Only one way to find out, lol. Thanks! I hope my new dentist that I am seeing tomorrow is willing to do it.

Mine were impacted too so I had a surgeon do it but DHs were not impacted and they did not consider it orthodontic.it was considered general dentistry.

Sorry about the blank post... WT extractions wouldn't be considered "orthodontic" - see if your ins will cover oral surg.
Re: Speaking of Dentists....
They are all poking out. The one that hurts the most is poking out the least. Feels crooked. But, I can see it, and feel it with my tongue.

I too, had all 4 removed by a dentist. Two at a time. Good luck ABC!
