Holy Crap! I'm shaking, in shock and in tears!

We found a burned out wire & insulation in Michelle's room.  The contractor said he doesnt know why there wasnt a fire.  If there were a fire it would have started in Michelle's room. 

We thought we found all the faulty wiring so this come to a shock to us.  I still shaking at thought we could have burned down and could have lost Michelle because it would have started in her room!

So no more b!tching from me about the inconvenience of it all!

    Don't be too hard on yourself for all the "what ifs"  Just be glad you found it when you did and you're all safe.

    Wow!  Sounds like the renovations (or whatever you guys are doing) were meant to happen.  It's things like this that really make me think all things happen for a reason.

    OMG.  How scary!!!  I'm glad you found it and everything is okay!

    I don't know if you remember but last year when we got back from vacation the valet driver crashed my car and almost hit me.  I was fine, but for weeks and weeks the what ifs kept popping into my head about Lila.  I had been holding her in the infant seat and just kept thinking what if I had set the seat down, what if she had been walking around, etc.  My point is, I know how you feel.

    That's terrifying.  I'd say your guardian angel was watching over you and your family, esp. Michelle.

    OMG!  i am sorry to hear that!  I know what a headache replacing electric is in a house, but it is so worth it.  MH is an electrician and we redid all of ours when we moved in this house.. we had to resheetrock some walls, but I am happy knowing it is all new and up to code.

    Glad you will have new safe electric when it all gets fixed!

    Thank God it was found! I worry about fires all the time we live in an older house and the electric is a little messed up . The what if's for something like this are terrifying!

    I have goosebumps reading this... house fires are one of my biggest fears, and the thought of losing my baby to one is just heart-wrenching. 

    I'm so, so glad you are all safe and that it's on its way to being repaired!

    Wow.  I'm so glad you found that.  If it helps, think about how to make things safer.  Do you have a smoke detector in every room?  Make sure they are working and just think that you would hear it and get her while it was still smoking.  You can even have all of your smoke detectors hard wired, so when one goes off, they all do.
