I was planning on making the shower invites, but I realized that after I buy all the supplies and envelopes, it will probably cost more for me to make them than it would to just buy the invitations.
I have a poem about signing a book instead of a card and I want to print up the shower info so that it looks nice. So I was thinking that mom could buy the dr seuss blank cards and we could print everything up on the inside. Only problem is all the cards I found are $8 for 10, and I know my mom wasn't planning on spending that much just for invitations.
Does anyone have any ideas of cheap invites I could use??
Re: Dr Seuss Shower Theme Invite help
this might be hard to see but i created it for someone on etsy that was looking for Dr. Seuss invitations. i did this in publisher but you could do it in MS Word as well. make a custom 4X6 inch portrait page setup and then using Word Art type various names of Dr. Seuss books and lay them out as a border. print them in different colors on white 4x6 cardstock from Micheals or Paper Source. Add a text box to the center with your personal message and details about the shower.
Email me at hileraj at hotmail.com if you would like the file for what i created of if i can help in any other way.
how many do you need?
That is cute. I would need 50 invites.
We are going to come up with... and suggestions are welcome... a saying for the front letting people know it is a baby shower invite. And use Stickers to decorate it.
you could always say something like :
The Cat and Horton, Thing 1 and Thing 2,
Red Fish and Blue Fish and maybe a Who!
Green Eggs and Ham we won't make you eat
But, this baby shower for (name) is sure to be neat!
Please join us for a Seussical baby shower honoring.....
you could decorate with actual Dr. Seuss books to get your book collection started. stand some up on the table with the food, etc.
Very nice! There are such talented people on this board!!
BFP #2 - 12/9/09 After being on bedrest for 10 weeks due to TTTS and hospital bedrest for 4 weeks due to PPROM, my sticky babies are here! Born at 32 weeks!!
AWWW that's so cute!!
Do you mind sharing the poem you used to ask them to bring a book instead of a card?
This is all I could come up with....
Let?s start baby?s library and encourage (them, him, her) to read,
A great book in place of a card will help plant this seed.
Sign a note and your name on the inside page,
This way you?re remembered, at every age.
I design custom stationery and I would love to design a Dr. Seuss invitation for you! Please look at my site at customizedstationary.etsy.com or e mail me at customizedstationary@hotmail.com if you have questions. I could e mail you a simple design I have with the cat in the hat, the lorax and sam i am. I could either send you the design or I could print them for you, depending on your prices.
Thanks!
