Babies: 0 - 3 Months

How talkative is your 2-3 month old?

DD is a chatterbox when we're talking to her.  She will have conversations with us in her own way.  You can definitely tell she is really trying to talk, and sometimes she makes so many distinctly different noises, with inflection, too, they sound like whole sentences.

  • DD is just like this. Her facial expressions are so dramatic to like she's really trying to get her point across. its so cute. She can get so loud too

  • DS is like this too. It's especially funny when he's talking to his hands in the morning before I go and get him or his toys when he's in his bouncer or playmat...

  • DS is very "vocal" but he isn't really doing any inflection. His face will tell you if he's happy or what's going on in his head but mostly he grunts and groans rather than "talking" type noises.

  • DS is a blabbermouth, too.  I love it!
  • Same! He says something that sounds totally like 'hello' all the time - it's so cute!

Awww!  We will say "Hi" to Sarah and she smiles and says "Aye".  I melt everytime.

  • DS has 2-3 talkative sessions per day (sometimes more). He carries on with all kinds of different sounds and noises. Sometimes it's at us, sometimes at his hand, sometimes at toys. I love it.

  • I was just about to post the same thing! DD has been babbling "sentences" so much today that she can't concentrate on eating - she pulls off and starts babbling like she has something more to add - lol. She tries to mock whatever sounds we make - my favorite is when we say "Hey, you!" and get "Eeeyyy goo!" in return.
  • Only certain times of day. DS is a pretty quiet kid, but sometimes I can get him going by talking to him while I'm changing him. Then I have his full attention, and he makes "ah-goo" sounds. If I repeat it back to him, he LOVES it and I get big smiles and kicking. Almost like he's so happy someone finally understands him :)
