So at my app today they said my blood pressure was up, my hands and ankles looked puffy, i have some protein in my urine and my weight was up. I had this happen awhile ago and everything turned out fine but it still stucks to be back on watch again for this. I have to go back in Monday to get checked out again.
If you had Pre-eclampsia how long after your diagnosis were you induced?
Re: preeclampsia watch- how long after diag. were you induced?
I was on watch and part-time bed rest starting at 34 weeks. Everything pretty much stayed the same until 38 weeks. I noticed vision changes Saturday afternoon, and decided to go to the hospital that night. My blood pressure wasn't too hot, and I had a lot of protein in my urine (my urine was fine three days before this). My OB was on vacation until Monday, so they put me on mag-sulfate and had me induced Monday morning.
I also had pp pre-e. It was much more severe that the pregnancy pre-e and I spent a week in the hospital, and 6 weeks on bp medication as well. My bp is great now. My son was and is healthy and problem free.
I never fully developed pre-e, but my BP went up to the point that I got put on bedrest at 35 weeks, did a few pee-in-a-jug tests over the next weeks and had protein in my urine (but never to pre-e levels). I got sent to the hospital 2 days before 37 weeks to be induced, but ended up getting sent home b/c my bp wasn't as high as it had been at home and the level of protein hadn't gone up since the last test, and my dr wanted DS to keep baking for a bit longer. Finally at 1 day before 38 weeks, I was induced, and ended up with a c-section on the day of 38 weeks.
Good luck, take it easy, and your LO will be here soon!
1st signs of pre-e at 28 week appt, bp slowly crept up until i went into labor at 37w, 4 d...no induction necessary
