I am due in February and can't decide between delivering at Scottsdale Healthcare on Shea or Paradise Valley hospital. Does anyone have any advice or good/bad experiences with either of them? Thanks!
Hi! All I can say is that I delivered at PV Hospital last May and it was a wonderful experience. I also had many complications with my delivery, and was there for an additional 4 days after dd arrived...and all the nurses were so great to me. It was a very rough time and the people could not have been more helpful. Hope that this helps!
I chose to deliver at Scottsdale. I've been there a few times for some problems, and I just like the environment. I would think of a few things- which one is closer, what type of nicu do both offer, etc....
I had a HORRIBLE experience at PV when I had to have surgery, and that really turned me off to that hospital. But my Dr said either place is fine. GL and Congrats!
My aunt delivered at SHC and she absolutely loved it. The place was beautiful and they had gorgeous birthing suites. She also had a high risk pregnancy so she wanted to go somewhere that she felt comfortable and my mom, a nurse, recommended it to her since she knows a lot of the nurses there and they are all wonderful!
My SIL had her son at Scottsdale Shea. I am having my guy there as well. I have heard many good things about them. PV is good too. If you haven't already, I would tour both of them.
