Avocado=constipation????

Anyone find this??  DD loves her avocado but I think it's causing her to be pretty constipated - which isn't like her at all.

    Definitely not in our house!  Avocado cleans DS out. :)  I have to give him something binding with avocado otherwise he has diaper blowouts.

    From what I have read avocados are highly digestible, rarely responsible for any type of allergic reaction and do not cause constipation.

    We didn't have that problem, but our pedi warned us it could constipate her because of the high fat content.

    npaulsell - that's what I thought, too.  DD is otherwise BF and I know that it's not anything else she is eating - process of elimination and all.

    If that is all she has had...then I would say that they are it then. Maybe they just don't sit right with DD belly. I think they are icky myself. My DD love them. Blah....

    Avocados made our DD very constipated too! We cleaned her out with pears=) Now we mix the two together and they even each other right out.

    We found the same thing. Three days with no poop while on avocado! A day back on sweet potatoes and she was fine. Pedi suggested trying them again later when her menu has more variety, since DD loved eating them.
