3rd Trimester

F/U to decreased movement yesterday

Went to the perinatologist at 3:00 and by that time it had been nearly 18 hours since I last felt any significant movement. (by significant I mean anything other than one little nudge)

They did a complete anatomy scan and said that the baby is measuring a bit small, but nothing to be alarmed about. Also, she said the decreased movement was probably due to the very odd position she managed to get herself in. I have a bicornurate uterus, so its almost like there are 2 "chambers" connected in the middle. (like a lopsided heart-shape) Thankfully she's in the larger one, but it still limits her growth and movement at this stage in the game. Also the NST came out fine.

While I was there the perinatologist spoke with my OB and they decided that I will be on weekly appointments for the remainder of the pregnancy. The peri is also arranging for me to have a doppler at home so I can monitor baby's heartbeat every few hours.

Overall, there was no bad news, which was a complete relief. Baby will just be monitored a lot for the next 7 weeks, and since she's breech I may have to schedule a CS. (I know that breech babies usually turn closer to EDD, but with her limited space it's not likely, unfortunately)

Thanks for reading.
