Eh, my parents dated for 3 months before they got married. They've been married 25 years. I will say this though...they definitely didn't know each other very well. They got lucky that they still liked each other..ha.

Well Dh and I dated for 6months when we got engaged but didn't marry for a year. Went to premarital counseling and had long long talks about marriage. Also thought she's only 21. So yikes! We were a little older and more established in life.
It took me 4 months in a committed relationship before I would have sex with DF for the first time.
Just for kicks, I'll one up you on this one...
My DH and got to know each other for 4+ years before we had sex (we waited until we were married. No lie.). We knew each other for 15 years before we even started dating. The thought of only knowing a person for 4 months, then marrying him is not something I can wrap my mind around.
My favorite law school prof, met and proposed to his wife after only knowing her 6 weeks. She moved back to Australia with him and they have been married for over 30 years.
I'm 21, and got "engaged" (if you can call it that) after two months of dating. It took us four years to start planning the wedding (including two years of living together), 3 more months to get married, and a year and a half after that to get pregnant.
DH and I started off as a friends with benefits thing (I know thats terrible). We had an agreement that neither one of us would get attached and it worked that way for about 6 months or so, but after awhile we couldn't hide the fact that there was actually a spark between us that was way beyond the sex. We married exactly two years after our fling started.?
I knew my DH for a year before we started dating, and we went all the way on the first real date (woops!). First time I had ever done that, and had made my past boyfriends wait 6+ months. Guess I knew it was right! We got married a year later.
