I just wanted to warn you of something.....before you go posting about it concerned and worried.
In your pregnancy book, when it says "you can hear the heartbeat by about 12 weeks"....what that REALLY means is that you can hear the heartbeat at your doctor's office when your doctor uses a doppler, which is a little instrument to listen to it....NOT that you can hear it in your head.
True story--some chick at one of my OB appts was in the waiting room in tears because she was 15 weeks and couldn't understand why she couldn't hear the heart yet. "But all the books say I shoudl be able to hear it by 12 weeks, and I haven't heard a single thing. I lay still and listen and I don't hear it at all!!!! When did you start hearing it???" At that point, I was 30+ weeks with one of the kids and tried SUPER hard not to laugh at her.
Anyways, since there are a couple people worried about getting pregnant while pregnant, or irish twins running in their family, I just thought I'd post before someone really got worried about not hearing the heartbeat on their own
Re: PSA: Since there are a LOT of SUPER smart people on this board....

Red, I don't even know you, but I love you. I'm the grammar nazi in my family (and at my workplace, and in my circle of friends...)
I bow to you D & R. I'm a whiz at Bio and Stats of all things but I really loathe the maths and sciences. My brain just doesn't work that way. I was however, born with a red correcting pen in my hand.... if you met my mother who used to make us write lines until we got our sentence structure right and then my 7/8 teacher who was a Jesuit... who taught me to covet Grammar Is Important - my fave book of all time.....
Well you can imagine I need a 12 step program to shake my grammar/spelling habits.?
Yeah, I need to work in my grammar skills, FOR SURE...They've left me in charge of proofing letters that go to clients and reports.....it skerrrrrsss me that I know I suck at it, but i do it for a small part of my job!!!
Ehhhh, I haven't missed anything TOOOOO major yet.
(and I NEVER edit what I type on here...I am more careful at work....I just don't have the time to be patient here and re-read what I said.)
Maybe you were an English teacher in a former life?
ARE you f---ing kidding me, every time i see a post of yours, I feel a pain in my a$$. since you are no longer in your 1st trimester, lurk on your own board.
Your posts are not humorous, but you post a lot to make yourself look better and to make others inferior to your comments.
Move on please

If her posts actually cause you pain, don't read them. I think it's funny and sure a hell of a lot more fun than whatever my principal is talking about right now during our meeting.
