Last night I decided that even though I haven't seen AF in a LONG time I would start logging my PMS-like symptoms on FF to see if there's any pattern. My Dr's appt with my new (hopefully nice unlike previous one) ob/gyn is in May and I don't see my RE again until June. I basically just need something to do until I can get real answers.
I knew it had been a really long time since I had a period, but when I entered the date into FF it told me that my current cycle is 589 days long. That's a little rough to see it in black and white. I think I liked it better when it was just "a long time ago". It's really bummed me out!!
Has anyone else here gotten back on track after such a long break? I know it's possible, but it would be great to hear a happy ending after FF giving me a huge dose of reality...
Thanks!
Additional info below. I've been seeing a doctor since the 2nd month I didn't have a period.
Re: Bummer of a realization
Were you on special BC? That is almost 2 years without a period, something that should have been addressed way sooner.
I have PCOS and my super-rude former gyno thinks the only solution is to wait and see because at the time we weren't TTC. She wasn't even convinced I had it (even though I literally had EVERY symptom) and didn't really seem too concerned. She told me it was because some women on the pill don't get periods. Even though I've been off them for a while and still have no AF.
Because I wanted a second opinion I then went to see a endo about a year and a half ago and she diagnosed it right away. She put me on metformin and I'm now maxed out on it. I lost 40 lbs and have had a lot of improvments in other areas but still on period. She isn't a RE though, so she referred me to another dr. (Who I feel good about because he came very highly rec on my local bump board page)
Now I'm just waiting for the new Dr's appt.

Agreed--hope they figure some things out!
