Horrible pain...anyone else?

At night, when I try to flip from from side to the other, I have this horrible pelvic/pubic bone pain.....like excruiating pain that almost puts me in tears.  As if being uncomfortable and peeing every 2 hours isn't enough, I can't even flip sides.

Does anyone else have this pain?  What is it?  Just my pelvic bone splitting?  I never had this pain with DD.  It's only at night when I'm laying done. I don't know....but it sucks!

    Yup. That's me. I have to be very slow and mythodical. That also goes for standing up after laying on the couch. I was working on that last night, and DH ended up helping me. It wasn't about not being able to do it--it hurt!!! But usually he helps because it's a struggle, so he was just being nice.

    I don't know what it is. All I know is that I blame baby.

    Yup.  I've had this for about a month now.  It's excruciating. 

    My OB says it's normal.

    Every. Single. Night. I was told my pelvis is out of alignment so when I twist to roll over, it's pulling on it weird and causing the horrible horrible pain. Nothing helps, nothing makes it go away. Sorry to tell you that. The only thing I've found that kind of helps is turning over on my stomach rather than on my back. I'm not actually on my stomach, but I'm turning inward instead of outward...does that make sense?

    Yes.  I have SPD (Symphisis Pubis Dysfunction) and that sounds like you may have it too.  It is also painful to get out of bed and walk to the bathroom, lift your legs, etc.  If you Google it, you can get more info.  But I hate to tell you, it gets worse as you get closer to your EDD.  There is nothing they can do for it, you just have to take it easy and move carefully.  I feel your pain -- it's awful and the most painful thing I've ever experienced yet.

    Thank you for posting this!  I have been dealing with major hip pain since Saturday and haven't had time to log on.  I called the nurse yesterday but she said since I have an appt next Wednesday to just ask the midwife then.  So I figured I'd deal with it.  But now I see it's not just me, and I'm not crazy.  Thanks!!!
