My son has about 15 stuffed animals in his bed, 7 books...sometimes more, a ball, a dinosaur, and a big bouncy ball. He gets 3 or 4 baby blankets out to cover himself with...besides the 2 already in his bed. I had to take his cds out of his room since he was getting up after I'd put him down to sleep and taking them all out of the cases and putting them in his covers. So funny! I don't know how he gets a good night sleep with all that stuff in there!! I keep taking it out and he keeps putting it back in!
Re: Anyone else's child a pack rat???
YES!
Every time we leave the house, she has to grab something, and then it stays in the car until I clean it out. Her bed is full of books and stuffed animals. Sometime, she even puts her shoes in bed with her.
My son wants to hold on to everything too! Last weekend when Grandma was over she left some orange (his favorite color!) yarn for him to play with and now I have two very long orange strings that keep migrating out of his room and back into the living room! He wants to keep every page he ever colored at preschool and every stick he finds at the park. Oh and I have to throughly check all his pockets before doing laundry, I never know what I will find in there either. I just have to laugh about it.
