Re: Stillbirth / Late Loss / Infant Loss Check-in
Well, I am hanging in there. We have our fist OB appointment next Tuesday and otherwise I am doing ok. I had a rough night a couple of nights ago because I want to make sure this pregnancy does not replace Wyatt. I know that sounds kind of silly but that was where my head was that night.
Names were hard for us. We had a huge list of boy names and really only one girl name. Wyatt was on the list but I was fearful the child would be made fun of because of Wyatt Earp. The second night in the hospital after the fail induction my DH and I had a conversation with the baby, that it was time for them to help us out and be born and we selected two names a boy and a girl name since we were having a surprise. DH always liked Wyatt best so he suggested that and George is his grandfather who passed in 1996 name. Now I am so in love with the name Wyatt I am kind of embarrassed that it wasn't a top choice of mine to begin with. (=
We have been married for 2 1/2 years and together for 7 1/2 years. Somedays it really doesn't seem possible that it has been that long. (=
1. General update: Nothing really exciting. A week from today I have my post partum appt. I'm basically just waiting for Mar. 23rd when we have our consult with the doc to go over results from tests and possibly find some answers.
2. PG related QOTD: How did you choose your child's name? We both just kind of liked the name. It was really the only girls name that kept coming up that we agreed upon.
3. Non-PG related QOTD: How long have you and your DH been together? We've been together since November of 2005 and married since June of 2008.
4. Any suggestion of either QOTD? Non-PG: What's the age difference between you and DH?
1. I'm very stressed. We have our 12 wk appt and NT scan tomorrow, and I can't help but feel lots of anxiety. I wish I didn't, but it hasn't passed yet.
2. We didn't plan on finding out if we were having a boy or a girl, but decided to find out from our amnio results so that we could choose a name before we said goodbye. We really didn't have any names at the top of our list yet, so instead of just going with one of the ones we had discussed, we decided to choose a special name for our little girl. We named her Valerie Ann, which is after two of our grandmothers who have already passed away. We figured it would be appropriate to name her after them, since they'll be taking care of her for us in Heaven.
3. We've been together since Dec 1999 (over 9 years), and married since July 2005 (3.5 years).
1. I'm doing OK. I had my second therapy appointment this morning and didn't cry as much this time. It's so nice to finally feel like I'm "allowed" to be sad!
2. our son's name is John David. John is DH's grandfather's name and David is DH's name. Our daughter's name was Ashlyn Terese. Ashlyn I just liked and Terese is DH's mom's name... I thought it was pretty with Ashlyn. DH named JD and I named Ashlyn
3. We've been together since August 2001 (7.5 years now) and married since September 2005 (3.5 years)
1. Having a hard time. March 7 will be 5 months since Isaac was born and since I last held him. I miss him a ton.
2. We chose the name Isaac after the Abraham and Isaac story in the Bible. Abraham was called on by God to be willing to offer up his son, ISaac, that he and Sarah had prayed so long for in order to demonstrate his faithfulness to God. In that story, God provided a ram in a thicket for Abraham to sacrifice instead; unfortunately, there was no ram in the thicket for us. We also picked Isaac because it means "he will laugh" and we know that in heaven, he is perfect, and healthy and whole... and I am sure laughing with joy. We picked his middle name, Timothy, because it means to honor God. We wanted everything about our decision to carry Isaac to term, to love him deeply, and to continue to allow his life to affect people to be an honor to God.
3. DH and i have been great.
4. None... sorry

Angel Info: Our little boy, Benjamin, was born at 20w4d on Feb 22nd 2009 due to a placental abruption. Not really sure why. He passed away on Feb 23rd.
1. Please feel free to give a general update.
I am doing okay. I am out of town at my moms, I have been for a week and a half now. I just needed to get away from home. There I have no motivation to get out of bed and do anything. Here my mom is helping me, getting me out of bed, making me do things. DH is at work all day and can't do this for me. I don't know what I'll do when I go back home.
I haven't had the opportunity to go spend time at Dylan's grave alone. I don't drive so I always have DH with me. I really feel like I need to go alone and say some things to Dylan. Maybe I'll get DH to drop me off there one day for a bit.
2. PG related QOTD: How did you choose your child's name? (Thanks Chris'grl)
We didn't have any names picked out when we went for our ultrasound. We were waiting until after we found out to pick names. Well, then we only had 2 days to pick a name. DH just looked at me and said "Do you like the name Dylan?" I thought about it and said yes! I thought it would sound great with Thomas, DH's dad's name. So there you have it.
3. Non-PG related QOTD: How long have you and your DH been together?
2 years
Please add me:

Angel Info: We found out our precious baby had no heartbeat on 2/19/09. It was the first day of my 16th week. We had just completed a detailed ultrasound 2 weeks before and everything was perfect - our baby was moving and waving and beautiful. D&E on 2/20/09. Still waiting for answers. This was my first pregnancy (conceived via ovulation induction due to infertility/PCOS).
1. Doing a little better day by day, but its still very hard to function. It?s been almost 2 weeks - have first post-D&E check up 3/6/09.
2. Didn't pick out names yet - had wanted to wait until we knew sex of baby but unfortunately we didn't get that far.
3. 13 years - married for almost 5 months.
Just wanted to say that you ladies are the best and I wish you all peace and continued healing. Reading your stories lets me know that I'm not alone and has really helped me.1. I am doing ok. We are getting ready to TTC again. I had a doctor's appointment last Friday and the doctor said that, considering all the testing I had done, that he doesn't think it's likely to happen again.
2. I wrote a list of girl's names that I liked and DH read through it, picked Gabrielle, and we agreed on it. Her middle name, Marie, is after my grandmother.
3. We have been together since Nov. 2003 ( almost 5 1/2 years) and married since Sept. 2006 (2 1/2 years).
Hello! I love to join you if that's ok. I read the check in thread and am so sorry there are so many of us who have lost babies - lot of love and hugs to you all.

Rainbow babies:Also, let me know if I was too early to be included here. My OB called it a late loss, since I was in the 2nd tri, but I know I was earlier than everyone else here, I think. Also, I considered myself "in the 16th" week (because that's how my preg journal counted it), but I guess I was 15 wks 1 day. Just let me know.
Nest Name: honey41283
Real Name: Carrie
Angel Info: On January 15, 2009 my husband and I learned that we had lost our twins at 16w3d due to a monoamniotic pregnancy (Both babies were in one amniotic sac and their cords tangled.). We went in for a routine checkup and our doctor could not detect their heartbeats by doplar. The loss was confirmed by an ultrasound a few minutes later. It was hard to believe that they were gone when we had only learned they were twins at our first ultrasound on December 22nd. I had a D&E on 1/21/09.
1. Please feel free to give a general update. So far so good..we found a heartbeat last week. I am having a hard time getting excited about this baby. Odds are, this baby will be perfectly fine, but I don't think I will rest easy until the baby comes home. I also have this fear that I will forget about Jack somehow. Like this past year, I have been all about celebrating the "what would have beens", I baked cupcakes for his first birthday. But I am afraid once baby#2 is around, January 16th (his birth) and the 25th (his death), will be overshadowed by tending to another baby. And I won't remember to celebrate or commeorate #2's big brother. I know I won't really forget Jack, but I am scared that overtime..he will be just a faint memory...does that make sense?
2. PG related QOTD: How did you choose your child's name? (Thanks Chris'grl) I always liked the name. I always wanted my boys to have "tough" sounding names. And to me, Jack is the eptimoe of tough sounding (think about it..all big, strong guys in movies or TV are named Jack). And in the end, the name was very fitting. Our Jack was very tough, he fought very hard, even to the end.
3. Non-PG related QOTD: How long have you and your DH been together? From first date to today, 7 years and 3 months...geez, have i really put up with him for that long ?
4. Any suggestion of either QOTD? None
I have no problems adding you. The cut off in my head is a loss out of the first trimester when everyone magically thinks they are safe. I am sorry you are having to join us and I hope you find comfort and understanding in this check-in.
1. Had a routine appt. this morning, heard the hb right away on the doppler, nice and strong in the 160s. It is reassuring, but I had also heard Nathan's hb on the doppler twice before losing him, so I am still very guarded.
2. Nathan was not the name we had picked for a boy, but after we lost him we decided to choose a name that had a special meaning. We found Nathan to mean "He (God) gave" and thought that was perfect. Mitchell is after my FIL.
3. It will be 10 years in May that I have been with DH, and we've been married for 2.5 years.
