Can you trigger and NOT ovulate?

The reason I am asking is because I still havent got AF (I am 19dpiui, BFN, and stopped prog. supps last thurs.) I usually dont ovulate on my own nad have had to take provera in the past to bring on AF. I triggered 10,000 units of hCG, is it possible that my follie did not release an egg? I obviuosly didnt have the 7dpo progesterone check, ot else I would know if I did ot not...jsut tryingto figure out why oh why AF is not coming.

    I don't always O when I take the trigger and I don't O on my own either.

    great...next time should I ask for a u/s the day of my IUI? Or should I just ask for the 7dpo b/w? I am all OOP btw so which ones is cheaper?

    b/w is cheaper!

    I'm wondering if I O'd too.  Next time (if I'm not pg, ha) I think I'm going to ask for PROOF in the form of a P4.

    you must be so frustrated, I'm sorry. have you called your RE yet to ask them what could be going on? I'm OOP too and it really sucks. Sad Hang in there, I hope you get some answers soon.

    Yes, I called and left a message on the nurses line at my clinic this morning...I am still waiting on a call back.

    i am sorry.. that sux.

    I didn't ovulate my last IUI either. (well so it was assumed because when i went back for my CD3 b/w, i had 2 19mm cysts)! Hello follies, you stinkers didn't release!

    You could always ask next time to do 2 triggers- just to be sure.

    a very small % of women do not O even with a trigger. the P4 is definitely cheaper than the u/s but then again, you won't know you didn't O until after the fact....vs with the u/s they could do something to maybe to get you to O and not waste the cycle??? (do they do more than 1 trigger?? i'm not sure)
