I just took DS' temperature and its the highest its ever been, 100.7 ?He is acting fine and eating and drinking, but should I be worried about the temp? TIA!
Daycare considers a fever to be 101.5, I consider over 100.5 (so does webmd). I wouldn't be worried, but monitor it. You may give tylenol but I would worry to much yet. Take it again in an hour, unless he is feeling worse.
I was told that a low-grade fever is between 99.5-100.9 and nothing should be done to treat it as its the body's natural defense to fight off infection. I only give tylenol if it's above 101 and the doc told us not to call him unless the temp is above 104 or is not being affected by the tylenol.
