A different naming question...

We are still a year away from #4 but we constantly discuss names, it's one of my favorite topics :)

H is very hard to please when it comes to names, but he has recently fallen in love with Maddox for a boy. I actually really like it and have for a long time. My concern is that we already get tons of Jolie-Pitt comments since are family is built through adoption and we are a transracial family and I'm covered in tattoos lol. Is Maddox just too over the top for us to use, given all that?

WDYT?

Re: A different naming question...

  • Shame jaredswife isn''t here anymore, her DS was Maddox, you could've asked her if she ever got Jolie-Pitt comments.
  • Can we call you Angelina if you do?

OK, if you go to Cambodia and adopt & then name the kid Maddox, then I'd be worried about you.

Really, if you love the name then use it.  I'm sure the Brangelina-ness of the name will fade over time.

  • I think if you both love the name then you should go for it, and ingore people that compare you to Jolie-Pitt, unless of course it's a good comparison and they are commenting about how wonderful you guys are to adopt these kids and give them a loving home......
  • I don't think it would stop the Jolie-Pitt comments, that's for sure. LOL

  • Hehe, I think the Jolie-Pitt thing is funny.  Not necessarily a bad comparison either.

If you like the name use it, just don't follow with a Pax or Shilo.

  • Ok, I just checked out your blog and I have to say your photos are AMAZING!
  • Thanks, elm! I have great models to work with :)

I'm on smiley overload today lol.
