Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Are second born typically easier?

People keep telling me that since you are a "pro" by the second baby and cannot give as much personal time to that baby, that they are easier than the first!  My first is pretty good now that he is over 3 months, so I cannot see the second being better or even as good.. hmmm.. just wondering!

Re: Are second born typically easier?

  • in the case with my mom and stepdad and dad and stepmom...the second was NOT easier.

  • Um, yeah. My nephew was the second and he was definitely not easier than my niece. Reflux, horrible sleeper, allergies, you name it and he had it. This is one of my irrational fears about having #2Embarrassed
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
  • Everyone I know says if their second had been their first, they would not have HAD a second. If that makes sense...
  • Not in my case.My first was perfect. This lil guy has reflux, doesnt sleep, colic.and to add to it I have a 2 year old to take care of.I definitely wouldnt have had a 2nd if he was my 1st.
  • Not even close...I love DD#2, but she is a completely different person and has a much more difficult personality than my first DD. With that being said I love her so very much, in part because of her quirky personality!
