Ladies, I need help. My mom decided not to watch my dd anymore (long story) so I need help finding a nanny. Do you have any referrals or recommendations? I need someone fast b/c my mom is watching my dd right now but she is not really watching her more like letting my dd cio all day! TIA

  • my recommendation is to not be leaving her with your mom. Especially if she is neglecting her.

ocnannies.com is a service I believe someone has used.

  • I am also in the search for a nanny. You may want to check out Craigslist as there seem to be a lot of candidates. In this economic environment, there are a lot of nannies looking for work.

In case you were wondering, I have contact OCnannies and basically, their placement fee is one month's cost of nanny services. For example, if your nanny costs $2000/month, your placement fee is also $2000 to the agency with a 90 day replacement guarantee.

Another site that I found was nanny4hire.com where you can search nannies, qualifications, etc. and the fee is more in the $150-$200 area. They seem to have some decent candidates in OC too.

    HTH! Good luck!

  • Here are a few agencies:

ocnannies.com was highly recommeneded to me for their screening process. I've spoken to them a few times and service has been great so far.I think if you can afford, it's definately worth it.
