question about bras

do you have to wear a nursing bra?  or is it just to make nursing easier?  i thought the purpose of nursing bras was to NOT have underwire but i have some borrowed bras that have underwire in them.  anyway, i am asking because i HATE wearing nursing bras.  can i just wear my regular bras; it seems just as easy to pull my bra over my boob as to unclasp a nursing bra and pull it down.

    From my experience, if you are going to nurse in public then you really need a nursing bra to be confortable and efficient.  I felt the same way at first but then I found a great nursing bra (medela has some great ones) that I actually like better than some of my regular bras.  I am large chested so I had to get something that was supportive and conmfortable for everyday wear.  I know some of the girls really enjoy the tanks and sports bras, maybe that would help.  I went to a local shop where you could try them on before you bought one to make sure it fit well.

    do what is most comfortable for you. no where does it say that you NEED to wear nursing bras.

    IMHO, I hated nursing bras. I felt like I looked like a woman in National Geographic. SInce DD has been down to 4 feedings I started wearing my own regular bras with underwire. I feel like i'm back to my normal looking self. I've never had any issues w/supply or anything,. Do what makes you feel best!

    I agree that you should wear what works for you.  I invested in a couple of good (unfortunately that equals expensive) nursing bras and am so much happier in them than any of the tanks or cheap nursing bras.  And they are underwire.  No way could I get away with not wearing underwire and still be comfortable as well as keep my boobs off my knees.
