Screaming at the Boob

I started back to work yesterday, just in the afternoons.  DS had 2 bottles well I was at work.  He ate well at the boob last nightand early morning. Then at his 10am feeding he threw a fit I couldn't get him to latch so I finally put on the nipple shield which we hadn't used in a couple of months he latched for a few minutes and then a took away the nipple shield and he carried on fine.  He has drank from a bottle before, when he was a premie and then a couple times a week since then.  DO you think this was a one time thing or he is going to have problems now.  I'm sitting at work freaking out.

    relax, it was probably a one time thing.  if not you have the shield and you know that it calms him. it's frustrating to feel like you are taking a step back but the important thing is that he will eat.  maybe your let-down was too fast?

    DS does that when he's over-hungry or over tired. I would just keep the nipple shield around just in case but I bet its a one time thing.
