So with our daycare debate here, the different in switching is going from $540/month to $903/month. I don't even know what norm around here is, or what the norm for most people is.
What do you pay for a daycare center a month?
I'd do a poll but the poll feature will not work for me..
And I know it varies by region-- I'll keep that in mind.
Re: What do you pay for daycare (again, I know...)
i sah but we did look into daycares in the dc metro area...
average in our suburbs is $1300. a local church offers daycare for $800 a month.
closer into the city, is around $1500 - $2000.

This is why I went with an in-home provider instead. I only pay $300 a month.
There's a really good at home daycare that's $400 a month. I pay my Dad to come to my house $800 a month. It's a 40 min. drive for him. I also pay on holidays, spring break, and if I take a day off or he has too. Oh on Fridays he comes an hour later.

We have a nanny part time and pay 800 per month.
For a center it costs 800-1000 per month. I 20 miles west of Atlanta
$1000 a month for just three days a week!
If he went full time it would be $1400, so I have my mom watch him one day a week and I work from home another day. It's crazy $$ but we're in a suburb of NYC. It's run by my work and is next door so I can go there and nurse him twice a day which helps keep my supply up and of course I get to see him which makes it all worth it.
$100 a week, although we only have him in for 3 days. ?Our daycare provider is also an SAHM who is licensed and takes care of 5 kids. ?
For a center in our area it was around $200 a week and we didn't have the option to go part-time. ?Just to compare the two, it would be $150 for 5 days a week with our current provider.
And she provides food (all homemade!) and diaper wipes. ?
