I've given up on those. ?The fish oil wants were disgusting, and even the ones I got that were from a plant source give me nasty burps. ?I'm back to my Target Prenatal.
Will my kid not be as smart as yours b/c of this??

I take the ones made from plant extract. I still get the odd burp every once in awhile, but not often. I find the more I eat when taking it, the better it is.
My prenatals (duetdha) have them and I can't taste them at all.
This is the kind I have. ?Ok going down, disgusting burping up. EDIT--this is the kind I first tried and could not stand. ?I have CitraNatal now and they aren't as bad, but still not good.?

I am not technically supposed to be on here til tomorrow but...
I take a DHA supplement called Expecta Lipil- or the other way around (too lazy to get up and check, lol).
My prenatals are gross but I take them anyway with this pill. The DHA supplement is like a gel cap and has a hint of lemon so it doesn't gross me out at all.
I don't know it you have tried it but I like them. You can get them at Target or any other store... it's about 10 bucks for a box of 35.
I couldn't take fish oil ones (bought an entire prescription box and only took 1) but I do take a plant derived one. CitraNatal - I haven't had any problems with it.
I take CitraNatal Assure...or something like that, that has a DHA pill w/it. My dad has made me take fish oil since I was little.
My lil SIL has severe ADHD and MIL wants her to feel like she doesn't have to be dependant on meds so she takes Fish oil pills, which stimulate the same part of the brain. It helps her out, not as much as her meds, but its a natural alternative.
I take Expecta and I do not notice any kind of bad aftertaste or burps. Viactiv, now that's a different story; they leave behind a nasty and lingering taste.
I take Expecta. ?My doctor highly recommended it. ?I don't have any gross burps with it, but I didn't experience those with other fish oil supplements I took before getting pregnant either.

I am taking Fish Oil, and I don't know if it's the brand or what, but I haven't had ANY of the side effects (burping, taste) that other women have posted. I will have to check the brand... also, the RDA is three pills, but I am only taking one, they are so big I figure even one can help.
i take the expecta ones. ?i took them when i was pregnant with my son and all through breastfeeding him (17 months). ?i now give him whole milk that contains dha.
Re: More vitamin talk...who takes a DHA supplement?
Well. DH and I are both extremely intelligent, so out child will more than likely be a genius. Hahahahaha. Right.
I couldn't handle the fist oil ones either. Gross. Did you try expecta? They're not bad.

I take an Expecta before bed with a PNV. Middle of the night burps are gross.
I noticed this weekend they sell Silk soy milk with DHA - maybe that would work for you?
