my baby will be mad at me if I wrap up her arms...she hates it with a passion. But I do swaddle the rest of her body and she loves the warmth and tigthness.
DD had to have her arms in and DS had to have his out from day 1.

Re: what is the point of swaddling with the arms out?
B/C when I try to wrap them in - he cries in protest. As soon as they are out, he's quieter than a mouse!
He makes the rules - not me!

The lc at the breast feeding class said you should leave at least one arm out so that the baby can show signs of hunger like sucking on their hand.
