  the Mcdouble is like.. 2 meats 1 cheese vs 2 meats 2 cheese.

  I was soooo disappointed when I pulled up and saw the double cheeseburger was not on the $1 menu anymore, and it was replaced with this.  I asked the order guy what was the difference, and he said one piece of cheese.  So I got it, it was pretty similar to the double cheese, but the patties were thinner.  It just isn't the same!  Double cheeseburgers are my treat!

  It's not gone... it just costs more than $1 now, and the McDouble is in it's place on the $1 Menu.

  Since McDonalds cheeseburgers are my biggest craving - I was so sad to learn that the double cheeseburger was no longer on the dollar menu.  When they first came out with the McDouble - when I ordered my normal Double Cheeseburger, the cashier assumed I meant the McDouble and that was what I got.  It is not the same at all!  Besides having less cheese, I'm pretty sure they don't put the minced onions on it either (my fav part).  The double cheeseburger is definitely worth the 20 cents more!
