I need some opinions....accent wall and a border....

We are going to make an accent wall behind the crib in the nursery. It will be a darker blue with the other walls a lighter blue.

My question is would a wall border that went with the bedding look ok with the accent wall or would that look funny?

If it would look ok, shoudl it be at the top of the walls or in the middle (chair rail height)?

Here is the bedding we are going to use and the colors we picked are palette #3.

i think you could put the border at chair rail height.... although i think if i did that, i'd paint the top half one color and the bottom height the other...

I dont' think it would look right with an accent wall & a border. As pp said if you do a boarder do it 1/2 way & do the colours above & below. Although I prefer the accent wall idea!

I agree that if you do a chair rail, you need to separate your colors by top and bottom (without an accent wall). That being said, the picture you linked to is a little busy for me. If I were working with that set I would skip the border all together and do the accent wall idea. There is a lot going on with the bedding and you don't need the border. It's almost a little too matchy. I am a huge fan of accent walls and think they make a drastic statement in a room.

GREAT! I appreciate the opinions....I think we will stick with the accent wall and not use a border! Saves us a bit of money too not buying a border!
