This has never happened before..

I took my third dose of clomid last night.  This morning I have minor cramping/uncomfortableness down there.  I am spotting.  Not a lot but definitely there.  Brown and mucus -y looking.  Sexy I know.

And I have hot, pink cheeks. Just to clarify - my face not my bum.

This is wierd.  I haven't had any of my normal s/e besides the stinky little headache I always get, and now this.  The pink cheeks I think is normal but I am not sure about the spotting..

Normal?

Re: This has never happened before..

  • Not sure about the spotting/cramping but when I was on it when I was ttc DS (it did not work for me), I had hot flashes, was very b!tchy and it made me fat.

  • Hot pink cheeks- yes, totally normal. I get nasty hot flashes on the Clomid. Yuck.

As far as the spotting- I know Clomid can cause breakthrough bleeds, but not sure if that's what that is or not? I'd call your Dr if you're really concerned, but I think it's probably ok.

  • It's probably nothing to worry about.  I've just never had these s/e before and I am certainly no Clomid novice.  I have always had it pretty bad but not this.

** Repeats often  This is worth it.  This is worth it.**

I'm repeating this same mantra today since this trigger shot is making me feel like I'm going to hurl. I would gladly feel sick for the next three months though!

  • Call your doctor!  I've had Clomid "breakthrough bleeding" before.  It normally is a sign something isn't working right.

  • So I called the nurse.  Bless her heart, she is the sweetest thing!  She spoke to the RE and said not to worry about the spotting but not to take the rest of my clomid.

What I thought was a hot flash wasn't.  It's a constant flush and hot feeling.  It isn't itchy or burning ( besides the heat ) but the RE said it was a reaction of some sorts and to stop.  It kind of loks like I have sunburn :(

Anyway, my follie check has now been moved up to Thursday and I will more than likely start my injectibles then.

  • GOOD!  I like this plan better... much more likely for success.

  • Good! Too bad about the reaction with the clomid though, ugh. :(
