tmi but really worried

in 2nd Trimester

A few minutes ago I was using the bathroom and when I went to wipe, a thick mucous-like chunk came out.  It was light yellow in color, no blood.  But it def. was NOT the white milky discharge.  I am worried that it is part of my mucous plug or something that indicates pre-term labor.  I already have a doctor's appt at 10 am tomorrow for my normal check up. 

Owen is 2.5 yrs old and Molly is almost 1!

    It sounds like EWCM which I'm pretty sure is still normal.  But since you have an appointment anyway, it sounds like good timing.

    I would call the advice nurse and double check if you shouldn't go in tonight or something.....better safe than sorry........

    I had that sunday. I got that with #1 too so I didn't worry. now i need to go find out what ewcm stands for....

    I have that type of discharge all the time. Most of the time its creamy-white, but plenty of times I get a EWCM yellow looking blob. My doc said its normal. I've been getting it now for about 2 months. Def. ask you doc tomorrow just to be sure.

    Thats what I had the other day.. but it had some blood on it. Mine was from my internal the day before though. I hope all is good. Let us know what the doctor says tomorrow.

    I had that once with my last pregnancy and just mentioned it at my next OB appointment and she said it was perfectly normal.  I would probably wait until tomorrow if I were you, but if you're really nervous, just give the office a call.  They get those kinds of questions all the time, that's what they're there for!

    That has happened to me a few times during my pregnancy. I mentioned it to the doctor and she said it's normal. I usually get discharge like that after sex or internal ultrasounds. If you're worried though, call your OB.
