Not that I'm buying much this time around but just thinking about how little I actually bought/registered for that was "boyish". I think it was all pretty much just clothes and stuff like that. All the gear, slings, diaper bag etc was either gender neutral simply what I wanted. I figured I was the one carrying the diaper bag so who cares if it was boy or girlish! We don't need much of anything 2nd time around so I'm just twiddling my fingers waiting to find out boy or girl so I can start clothes shopping or not!
What is your plan for this kind of stuff?
Re: What are you buying/registering based upon the gender?
God willing, we would like more than 1 child for sure - so we agreed to keep the super-gender-specific gear to a minimum.?
Really the only things I can think of off the top of my head that will be gender-specific are the bedding and the clothing. I'm sure we'll get lots of either boyish or girlish blankets and things at the shower(s), so we won't be registering for a lot of that kind of stuff.
The sling (we already have a Moby), stroller, furniture, diaper bag (already have), etc are all neutral. ?

I'm more attracted to gender neutral things anyway, which is good since we aren't finding out the sex. I've gotten a lot of hand me down clothing that's gender neutral and 0-3 mo. which is good because I can wait until the baby is here to buy clothes in larger sizes in gender appropriate.
As for nursery stuff, of course gender neutral, I'm thinking a nature-y woodsy theme, but that's what I would do if it was boy or girl
All our gear is gender neutral. I've seen very few big items that would only work for boys, while there are tons you would only use for a girl. The only things we've bought or registered for that are boyish are some blankets, towels and clothes. The Boppy and slipcover I picked are supposed to be for a boy (both are mainly blue) but either could work for girls in a pinch too. Baby stuff is very highly skewed towards girls I think.?
The diaper bag I hope to get is a very dark purple, which I consider to be a neutral color. My slings will probably be in neutral material, but I haven't made them yet so I don't know. Maybe I'll make one very boyish just on principle

We registered for the whole Fisher Price Precious Planet activity stuff and that is gender neutral as is our pack n play, travel system, swing. Boy stuff included Bumbo (who knows if he will like it), accessories for bedding, some clothing, etc. I figured who cares about things for around the house like hooded towels if they are boyish and we have a girl the next time around??
We are first timers and have nothing!
I couldn't resist registering for girl stuff. I registered for a bouncer, swing, and diaper bag that are for a girl.
