Jeep Liberty Stroller which is about $160 at BRU and a Graco Snugride, which is about $100. The infant seat fits into the stoller like a travel system but is sooooooooo much nicer than the matchy-matchy strollers that come with the 'travel systems'
We're paying the extra for a highly-rated carseat (it's not really that much more expensive besides). While the SNG makes up the cost, I really wanted it because it's compact, lightweight, and does only what we need (wheels for the carseat). We'll pick out our real stroller when we need it and know better what features we want (probably a lightweight McLaren (sp?) that doesn't take a carseat anyway).
Edit: I should say, the total cost came out in the "budget" category - but we didn't really consider price. They are items we're willing to spurge on. We picked what we wanted based on features, and it just so happened to be relatively inexpensive. We'll do the same with the stroller in a year or so - it may be a $120 umbrella stroller or a $350 BOB, depending on what we like and need.

I dont have a budget thus far; just buying what I love. My mom gave us a big gift certificate to JcPenny to furnish our entire nursery. That was a HUGE gift. I am so thankful for that.
We just bought the Maxi Cosi Foray this weekend. I feel kind of embarrased putting a somewhat pricy item on my registry when there are less expensive models out there. We love it though and spent months testing all the strollers out. It was around 350$ for just the stroller. The carseat is about 160$.
We're getting the Chicco travel system that is $299.00. I voted by price, however your sayings next to the price don't really go for me. Yes, it's on our registry and if someone wants to buy it great, but we're putting EVERYTHING we're buying on our registry and we'll buy it if need be. I also consulted Baby Bargains, but that doesn't mean it was in the price range you gave.
We got a $250 convertible car seat yesterday (Recaro) on Woot.com for only $99 so I feel better about spending $300 on this one.
We really got lucky... we got a great deal (or two actually) on our system. I found the stroller (Peg Perego Plicko P3) at Marshall's on sale for $140 (it's regularly $339) and then I got the matching carseat (Peg Perego Primo Viaggio) on ebay for $190 (regularly $274). So I saved like $280! I really wanted to Peg Skate, but couldn't pass up the awesome deal. I love the Plicko too, it's a full sized stroller, but folds up like an umbrella which makes it fit easily into any space! I really wanted the ease of a travel system too!
$260 - graco quattro tour deluxe travel system. My parents are buying it for us as their big gift to the baby, but I've been keeping my eye out for a sale, just in case we can dind it cheaper for them!

We are getting a Maclaren Techno (which is around $350). I loved the Maclaren when my daughter was a baby so that's what we'll do this time around. I was considering the Quinny Buzz but I think it will just be too big and too much of a pain for all of the traveling that we do.
We had the Bugaboo with car seat attachment, Graco snap-n-go and eventually got a Maclaren umbrella stroller for travel as well. All added in, well over $1k, and now I have to shop for a double stroller for baby #2. I was very pleased though with all strollers and have them for different uses and environments.
I am super lucky! Two of my sisters and my SIL ha had babies in the last two years. I am getting a car seat and a double stroller given to me. I already have a Graco stroller ( I have my niece a lot) that will work with the car seat.

After watching many friends go through 2-3 strollers in the first two years of their kids lives we have decided to hold off on the expensive stroller until we learn more about our parenting lifestyle and our baby's personality. We also live in a small house and have cars (not suv/vans) so bulky, expensive travel systems are not going to work for us. We are getting the graco infant stroller frame. They are really light weight and cheap, and will get us through the first year or so before we are ready to commit to a "real" stroller.
i scored a great deal on a quinny buzz a couple weekends ago - it was $400. we registered for the maxi cosi carseat (which is about $170), so maybe we'll get it. if not, we'll be buying it. i love the stroller though- it is so nice!
We just bought out stroller last night -- It's the Evenflo Aura in "Oh". We were debating between that one and a Graco. We ended up going with the Evenflo because it was $100 less than the Graco and it had a lot more options that we liked. We love it! (Pics and links in my blog if you want to check it out)
We bought the BOB Revolution with the infant car seat adapter. It should last us a while. It's an all terrain stroller so it fits our lifestyle perfectly!
Space is tight for us so we decided to go with the Graco carseat and the snap and go frame to go with it. We also wanted to hold off on a real stroller until we had a better idea of how often and what we would be using it for and the snap and go should get us through for close to the first year.
The stroller that we are looking into purchasing is a travel system. It is a Graco Passage Travel System it is like $200 at Target. It comes with the carseat that fits into the stroller. This is the one that is on our list... but we are still looking.
I registered for the Graco SnugRide travel system with the Graco Quattro Tour stroller. The whole set is about $200 and I LOVE the pattern. We tried it out in the store and really liked it.
We're deciding between the Bumbleride Indie and the Uppababy Vista, but leaning heavily towards the Bumbleride because the Uppababy is more than we'd like to spend. Not registering at all though so we're just buying it ourselves. Also planning on the Chicco Keyfit carseat. We're not buying the stroller until after the baby comes.
We got the BOB AW stroller (black and tan) on sale for $320 on babyearth.com and I just bought the britax companion seat in plum for my little girl on ebay, brand new ($180 total) !!!! There are only three car seats that fit with the adapter: Britax, Graco, and Peg Perego.....I couldn't imagine forking out almost 300 for a Peg Perego and I love the britax, so it worked out well!! I found a few Graco ones and they are very safe, but I had couldn't find one that was better than the britax.
We figured that we might as well get a stroller that will last through more than one child and that can get around to all of my husbands softball games and keep up with my walking. The BOB is awesome!! It is so easy to fold up and very easy to maneaver. I can't wait to put our little one in it!!
We liked the Chicco but not the system - we ended up with the Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat and Chicco Trevi stroller. Preferred the lighter weight Trevi to the Cortina that comes in the travel system. Because it's sold separately list price for the stroller, car seat and extra base was close to $300 but we got the Trevi on sale at BRU for $99 (instead of $149 I think) and the car seat is a gift from my aunt and uncle off our registry. So now all we need is an extra car seat base and we're good to go.

We are going to get a Snap and Go ($50) to put the car seat in when he's very little and also registered for the Graco IPO ($89.00) for when he's a bit older. i also plan on baby wearing so we didn't need a huge system.
Re: Clicky Poll: How much are you budgeting for a stoller and/or system?
Chicco Keyfit 30 $180, SNG $60(ish).

I already have the Graco Snugride from DD. All I need is the Graco Double stroller. Hopefully, one of the grandparents will get it for us.
