NBR: no raises this year.

I knew this was coming, but at least I still have a job for now.

Re: NBR: no raises this year.

  • I hear ya - my company has eliminated raises, and the 401k match so far to try to save jobs.  After being laid off last January, I'm thankful as well to still have my current job.

  • my company is doing this.  and they'll only match $500 max a year on our 401k...

oh, and no more profit sharing/bonuses....

i should be grateful for having a job, but dang.

  • Yeah we are in the same boat.  No raises or bonuses and we just lost another person in my department on Friday.  I'm sceered.

  • In the same boat.  No raises this year.  But I am happy that I still have a good job with benefits.
  • Ditto- salary and hiring freeze- which includes all scheduled promotions- and ours is for an indefinate amount of time (at least 2 years though).
  • Same here. No raises and pay freeze last year and this year. I would b!tch and moan about it (especially since DH and I work at the same place) but at this point we are just so thankful we have jobs. It could be SO much worse.

  • Definitely no raises this year.  We had a meeting last week and were informed how low cash flow was for February.  Lovely.  The only thing I have going for me is that I work for one of the (two) owners, so if there were layoffs, I'd probably be safe for a while.
  • No raise, bonus or 401K match for both of us

  • Big layoff next week with 10% of the work force reduced. We did not get our bonuses from last year. There *may* be retention bonus given out in July since this is the second major layoff (not including 2 little ones) in my close to 2 years with my company. There's still the small matching 401k, decent benefits. I'm hoping I'm not on the chopping block. DH has been out of a job since October of last year.
