How long does your 6 week old LO sleep at night? Our DD is sleeping about 2-3 hours between feedings but once we hit about 3am, it's all downhill. She may sleep 45 min. and then wakes fussy (I think she HATES sleeping on her back). She's in her bassinet now in our room- we are thinking of braving the crib in her room very soon.
I've seen posts about babies sleeping all night -- I'd be happy with 4-5 hours at this point!! Any advice you have on how we get there would be fantastic!! Thanks!
Re: How long does your 6 week old sleep at night?
At 6 weeks, DD was sleeping in 4-5 hour stretches. I do believe that with young babies, there's no way to force STTN - some are just ready for it and do it sooner, like anything else.
That being said, have you tried swaddling at all? That really helped us. We started around 8 weeks and she went from sleeping 4-5 hours to sleeping 7-9 and then 8-12 in a matter of a few days. If you haven't tried swaddling yet, get a SwaddleMe blanket and give it a go.
