Thanks! It's a painting. I found the inspiration online - it was a silhouette based on a photo, but could only be puirchased in 8.5"x11" and we wanted something bigger. So i decided to get crafty: i printed off the thumbnail of the image and used an art projector (think crappy overhead projector) to project it larger onto the canvas. i tried to trace the blurry outline but ended up freehanding a lot of it - luckily the pencil is easy to erase on the canvas! then i just filled in the outline with paint. you can't tell in the photo, but i've penciled in a ponytail that I'll paint on if we have a girl
