It has a fancy name for the first movements you feel. I can't remember what it is right now. Has anyone felt it yet? When? I just read on a website that 13 weeks is when you do, but that sounds so so early.
its called quickening....and i have felt it for about two weeks now, before it wasn't as definite, now i am sure that it is the baby. feels a little stronger now and im 18 weeks.
Most sites refer to the "flutters" as quickening. I first started feeling "flutters" at 16 weeks and have felt much more movement and stronger kicks/punches in the last week.
I believe you're referring to quickening. It feels like a butterfly fluttering around. I heard that if you are lying in the "right" position you can feel it as early as week 14... but is most commonly noticed in between weeks 16 & 20.

I started feeling little nudges at the end of my 15th week. It was very random, not everyday. Now I feel her kicking and punching at numerous times throughout the day and DH felt her for the first time last night.
I read 13 weeks and I was like...WHAT?? It's only like 2 inches long. There's no way. I was just checking. I'll be 13 wks in a few days. 16-20 wks sounds more realistic to me.
flutters that I wasn't sure were baby at 14 or 15. Definite kicks at 16, but I still don't feel it regularly. Maybe every other day or so. Must depend on the position the baby is in.
I felt "flutters" here and there at about 15-16 weeks, but kicks (not really hard ones yet) at about 20-21 weeks. I hear that with your first you don't feel them until 19-22 weeks. Also, I have an anterior placenta so it makes it harder to feel until later on when the baby is bigger.
ill be 21 weeks tmrw, and i havent felt anything. a few times i "thought" i did.. but i cant be sure at all.. and it hasnt happened since. i am on the heavy side, so i am guessing that is why... cant wait tho!
I've felt something that feels like tingles or Pop Rocks exploding in my lower abdomen (between navel and pelvis) which I think is movement but I'm not 100% sure. The first time I felt this was last Friday (16w1d) and then nothing until yesterday. It's very sporadic.
flutters twice at 18 weeks, then nothing, then at 22 1/2 weeks i felt definte kicks and movement. I will also add that I have an anterior placenta and some of her movements are muted.
I swear I felt something last week (14 weeks) while sitting down and relaxing. Felt like when you turn a bottle of water upside down and bubbles rise to the other side. Felt like a little row of bubbles. I know that's early though and this is my first baby so maybe it was just gas. But it did feel weird enough that I went, "Oh! What was that?"
I've been feeling small little things this weekend, off and on.... don't know if it's the baby or just my gurgly stomach!
I can't wait to feel kicks for real!!!!

I'm pretty sure I felt my first flutter today (15 wks). It felt like something was shifting in my uterus - not like gas (I've had enough of that lately, I would recognize it!). It's hard to describe it, and so far I've only felt it once.
