Snarky and T-TTC

Can I ask a temping ???

My baseline temp is somewhat higher than normal.  Most pre-o temps are 97.0 - 97.7 and post O-temps are over 97.8

I am so confused...I've been running around 98.2....is this just *my* body...??

Of course this is my first cycle temping....annoying, or else I'd know what my "normal" is.  I am nurse and did night shift until I was able to finally switch to days and now I'm temping....

Any insight is appreciated....

  • everybody is different

every cycle has the potential to be different

  • Loading the player...
  • What med were you on?  Clomid?  That might affect your temps, but I don't know for certain (someone else should be able to help with that aspect of things).

Ditto, and it will take a few cycles of charting to really figure out what is norm. Post O I can sometime stay at 97.7, but other cycles I'll spike for a few days over 98 for a few days. Just keep at it.

  • If this is your first cycle charting, then how did you come up with this?

I think she was comparing her chart to other people's

  • My reading comprehension fails.  I missed that.

My pre-o temps are generally below 97.0 and my post-o temps have only been above 98 in pregnancy cycles.  Which is just how my body is.  No different, better or worse than 'normal' and the same is probably true of you.  As you continue charting, you will learn more about what is normal for you.

I'll take this to mean that the rest of us weren't helpful
  • How can you know what your normal baseline temp is if this is your first cycle temping?

Many, many factors influence your temp. Changes don't necessarily mean anything.
