I had my baby boy!
Grady Hall was born Friday at 11:24 am. ?He is big boy! ?9 pounds, 6 ounces and 22 inches. ?
My labor story is quite long and involved. ?Essentially, I went for my 40 week check-up on Wednesday (my due date) and I had elevated blood pressure and had gained a lot of weight due to swelling. ?My doc sent me down to the labor and delivery ward to get some blood tests and have my blood pressure monitored. ?My blood work was fine, but they didn't want to send me home with those symptoms when I was already at my due date. So I was checked in then and there for an induction. ?I thought I would deliver him on Thursday, but the induction took a long time and there were several additional steps that had to be taken to get me fully dilated. ?I was finally able to start pushing at around 9:30 am on Friday.
I am just so happy he is here and healthy. ?He is so handsome and sweet. ?I'll post photos soon. ??
