Would this bother you?

MIL didn't call Morgan on her birthday yesterday.

Yes, she's One and wouldn't have any idea but all of her other grandparents called.

She mailed her birthday gift to her earlier this month but no phone call on the actual day.

I'm a little perturbed and my feelings are hurt BUT I will admit that I already think that MIL favors her other grandchildren anyway.

Thoughts?

You may well have lots of reason to think she favors her other grandchildren, but I don't think she has done anything wrong here.

Yes, it would bother me. Calling on your birthday is what grandparents do (at least IMO). I would rather get a phone call and no gift.

Yup. My FIL sent Parker's Xmas gift a month late (and didn't call on Xmas), and I was pissed. How can you forget Christmas? I know our babies won't remember this stuff, but really. It's not that difficult.

Yes, I'd be pretty bothered by that. And I also know what you mean by her favoring her other grandchildren, We're in the same boat.

I think my feelings would be hurt that she couldn't take the time to make a short phone call just to let me know she was thinking of DD.
