Is there a minmum age where you can put a baby in a jogging stroller? I seem to remember they had to be able to sit up... but can you put them in it laying down?
Marion was like five days old when we took her on our first walk in the jogger. She was two weeks old when I started walking around Memorial with her three times a week and six weeks old (or whenever I got cleared by the OB) when I started running with her again.
We did have an infant support (stolen from her swing) around her head and body and the seat does lay completely flat. Plus, there were a ton of receiving blankets we kept all around her too.
When she was like three months old, we got the carseat adaptor and I wish I had that from the start. She was fine in the stroller by herself, but having her in the car seat just kept her a little more snug and I didn't have to hassle with blankets and the like.
I recommend the BOB Duallie or this one. I have the second one. I like these because the shade comes down pretty far and they have a big divider. Not such an issue whlie M is tiny but it is good when they get bigger to prevent bickering (as much as possible). The BOB's front wheel rotates and the Baby Jogger it is stationary. I do believe they "recommend" 6 months plus for putting them in a jogging stroller but with the head support G was fine and I started him at 5.5 weeks. The BOB is easier to fold up.
