Second Pregnancy Question

Ladies - I need your words of wisdom here.  I am wondering if you have multiple pregnancies if you experienced the same symptoms for both pregnancies.  It's such a long shot that I am pregnant, but it is a possibility.  I've been experiencing the EXACT symptoms the week before I found out I was pregnant with the boys and am so nervous.  Don't get me wrong, it would be a blessing, but one we are not prepared for right now.  Any input would be appreciated!

  • First of all, support and hugs...I felt the exact same way when I found out I was pregnant with the twins (we weren't exactly prepared, stressed out, etc.) and I was nervous to tell my husband when the test turned positive.  It was a bittersweet moment until we adjusted to the fact that our family was going to grow.  Then we found out it was twins and were REALLY stressed out!

My symptoms were similar and different at the same time.  On both, I had a sense that something was different or off.  With my first pregnancy, I had nausea and MS right away.  I also became tired very quickly and found myself exhausted starting at 8 or 9 weeks.  With the twins, I had no MS or nausea at all.  I didn't even get tired until week 12.  But I was dizzy right before I took my test and even googled "pregnancy and dizziness" and found that can be an early sign.

    Good luck...

  • my early symptoms were the same- slight cramping and sore boobs... sensitive sniffer, to. But then they were totally different as the weeks went on- much more severe with this pg (b/c it's twins) than last time.

good luck- which ever you are hoping for!

  • OMG, Megan!!!  Holy cow, I can understand how you can feel a bit overwhelmed with the move and dealing with all the things that go along with that on top of very busy twin boys and then the possibility of being pg...wow WOW!  I don't have any advice for you, but just wanted to give you BIG HUGS and let you know that I'm here to listen!  GL!
  • no advice here (not sure why I even opened the post LOL!) but good luck either way and TAKE A TEST ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • OMG Megan!  I have no input but just wanted to say hi and see how work is going.  It's your busy time right?

I can't believe how much the boys have grown, it's amazing how fast it goes.  I'm with the PP, TEST already!  : )

  • this was me a month ago!! ?not to scare you :(

i was one day late, which wouldn't have been too unusual..but i FELT exactly the same..i just knew..i was nauseous in that same way..i didn't even realize that pregnancy nausea was different until then. and i was exhausted, but didn't have sore boobs, which i didn't have with the boys either.

just so you know, when i tested positive...i was terrified too, i cried. for me, we had just been through a very difficult time with the boys, and had seriously a couple of weeks before, on here said i wanted to wait a very long time before trying again.??i also thought about how much i really wanted to focus only on the boys for a good long time.?

after a few hours of thinking, and talking to DH, we both became very excited, and i realized just how blessed we were..seeing as i am not supposed to ovulate on my own.

anyways..didn't mean to ramble..just wanted to give you the perspective of somebody who has been there.

    good luck sweetie :)?

  • Megan!!!!! OMG take the test!

:::fingers crossed for what you are wishing:::

  • No advice either but wanted to say I was in the same boat 2 days ago!!! We are not financially ready and I am not emotionally ready to have another but I had weird cramping and then felt super-sick...took a test as soon as I could and it was negative. The weird part was I could hardly bring myself to take the test...it was like I was in denial or something!

Anyway...I hope it turns out the way you are hoping for and TEST ALREADY!!

  • good luck and keep us posted!

  • My first pregnancy was a singleton, the second was triplets.  I noticed a HUGE difference in early pregnancy symptoms.  HUGE.  I would think that if my 2nd pregnancy was a singleton again, it would have similar to the first one.
