Even though DH really wants all fall/winter babies, I would say April or May. Here in the artic of NoDak, it doesn't get warm until then. I would love to carry a newborn in just the sling as opposed to the car seat, in a snowsuit, with a cover and a blanket!
Re: Ideal month to have a baby?
OH!!! I want to be there! I am so cold here! The weather channel website says it is 6 degrees here now, but feels like -13 with windchill. I want to put hats, coats & mittons away! I want to save on gas from not warming the van all the time. I want to run out of the house with the kids quickly w/o bundling up. I want to take the girls on a WALK to the damn park!
ditto!
I would think that April or May, winter birthdays suck.
My birthday is in December and I was always jealous of my friends who could have outdoor birthday parties. Or even birthdays that were not during the Christmas season.
For me, spring months...March, April, May. I'm a teacher and it gives me the most time off...maternity leave right into summer break. I got 5 months off with DD! Going to try for an April baby this time though...
I also liked that DD was an older baby by the time winter hit.
Oh, I'm an April baby and DH was born in May

My IF blog
In an ideal world, for me, November. In the real world, I will probably want to have my next DC in the late spring/early summer, since I'm going to be teaching within the next year and, even though I'll probably take at least one semester off to stay home, I would like to be able to have the whole summer with my new LO and DD, to help with the adjustment period.
ETA: We lived in FL when DD was born in October, and it was perfect because we had a very hot "winter" in 2007. Now that we're living in PA, though, as much as I would love to have another Autumn Baby, I think that waiting until the Spring would be better weather-wise, in addition to the time off as a teacher...
I loved having a Feb baby b/c by the time I felt ready to get out and about, spring was on the horizon. Like pp mentioned, since I'm a teacher it worked out perfectly for me and I was able to spend 6 months with DS. We were hoping for the same time for the next one buuuut it didn't work out that way
And I loved wearing DS in my Moby.
So now I'm psyching myself up for a September/Oct baby. Things I'm looking foward to are just bundling the baby up in a bundleme in the infant seat rather than dealing with coats, and by the time baby is on the move, it will be nice out. It's been really hard with a walker in the dead of winter. We are both so bored in the house.
I will miss babywearing though
